Celebration Time
Come and help us to celebrate our first anniversary - Yes, it's exactly one year since we opened and to mark the occassion we are having an all day extravaganza! It's on Saturday 17th October between 10.00am and 4.00pm. There will be performances from a variety of people including students who have been attending lessons and workshops over the last year, plus our Ukulele Club will be giving two separate shows during the day. Added to this will be a session with our Jam Club and our Young People's Choir, "Core Us" will be singing a couple of songs. There will be an opportunity to meet some of our teachers and workshop leaders and we will be hosting some short free taster sessions so you can give things a try. Details of our autumn and winter workshop programme will be available on the day as will members of our newly formed Young Volunteer's Group who will be happy to chat to anyone who might be interesetd in getting involved. Refreshments will be available all day so why not come and have a look round?

Shop News
We've had a bit of a revamp in our shop to create more space for our ever increasing range of products. As well as guitars and amps from various suppliers (we are main dealers for Vintage and Kustom) we've started building up a supply of drums and percussion and have also added to our range of effects by introducing Zoom products. Over the next month or so we expect to be able to supply Boss, Roland and Yamaha. Alongside this we have new things coming from Tanglewood guitars including a fabulous electro acoustic package for £149! Added to this we've got stacks of ukuleles, entry level brass and woodwind, Lee Oskar harmonicas, banjos, mandolins, all sorts of strings and other accessories plus sheet music and books. Lessons and Teaching
We are now offering lessons in the following instruments: guitar (acoustic, electric, bass, classical and flamenco), piano and keyboard, voice, drums, cello, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, whistle, saxophone and melodeon. We will be adding more to this list as time goes on. If you are interested please give us a call or pop in to the shop.
Daytime Activities
We are about to start a series of music activities aimed at people who may have time during the day. Singing, ukulele, forming a group, learning a new instrument, rhythm workouts - all sorts of possibilties. If you are interested please ring for more details
Young People's Ukulele Club and lessons
We are starting two sessions off for young ukulele players.
Half-hour introductory sessions for very new players (aged between 5 and 7) will take place on Mondays at 4.45pm.
Improvers sessions will take place on Fridays starting at 4.00pm
Both sessions will commence after the October half term and booking is essential. The cost will be £16 for 5 weeks - payable in advance
Pre School Sessions
Details of a new session will be announced soon. If you would like to register an interest please contact us as soon as possible.
Regular Clubs and Sessions
Wednesday - 7.00pm - 8.30pm - Jam Club - blues, rock, pop - any instrument - come and have a jam - all ages and abilities welcome
Thursday - 4.30pm - 6.00pm - "Core-Us" - Young People's Choir - ages 7 and upwards - come and have a sing with Kat Davidson
Thursday - 7.00pm - 9.00pm - "The Ukuteers" - Adult Ukulele Club - all abilities welcome - (6.30pm -7.00pm introductory lessons)
Rehearsal Space
Bands, duos, trios, etc - PA and back line provided
Recording
Multi track digital recording available for bands, soloists, duos, choirs, community groups
